Framework for Digital Twin-Based 3D Visualization of Warehouse Processes

Logistics and Intralogistics Systems

The increasing adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart logistics systems has accelerated the need for advanced digital twin platforms capable of supporting real-time visualization, simulation, and
analysis of warehouse operations [1-5]. Digital twins enable the integration of physical logistics environments with virtual representations, thereby improving operational monitoring, process optimization, and decision-making [1,2,14]. At the same time, immersive virtual reality (VR) technologies provide new possibilities for intuitive interaction with complex warehouse systems [6-9].
This paper presents a modular framework for digital twin-based 3D visualization of warehouse
processes using XML data structures, VRML-based model generation, and Unity-powered VR environments deployed on Meta Quest devices.
