Assessment of the integrity of the conveyor belt based on its deformation

Hoisting and Conveying Equipment and Technologies

Conveyor belts have a crucial role in material transport systems, with the highlight on their multifarious responsibilities and the challenges they face. The paper discusses the dynamic forces experienced by belts during operation, akin to fatigue loading, and the complexities of simulating years of wear and tear in testing. The abstract also outlines a methodology for assessing belt integrity based on deformation characteristics, addressing the gap in understanding the impact of fatigue loading on belt functionality. By exploring these aspects, this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of conveyor belt performance and longevity.

Host city and venue - Vienna

Vienna (Wien) is the federal capital and largest city of Austria, and one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primate city, with a population of about 1.9 million (2.6 million within the metropolitan area, nearly one third of Austria's population), and its cultural, economic, and political centre.
