Logistics and Intralogistics SystemsThe freight transport system has a severe and significant function for the overall performance of the global supply chains. freight transportation is a critical and crucial part of the logistics activities carried out at the global and domestic levels. In addition, it provides connections among other transportation systems such as rail and maritime transportation. Hence, it is an associative part of intermodality and other multi-modal transportation systems such as combined transportation. In addition, it is not possible to collect and distribute materials i.e., products, semi-finished goods, and raw materials without using this transportation mode.
