Technology and supply of the offshore mobile bases and platforms
Mobile offshore bases are the future of maritime traffic. There are some suggestions for the future application of the mobile offshore base and a proposal for the installation of such facilities in the local sea. Due to this complexity of calculations, the amount of knowledge and infrastructure, the ability to design a dynamic positioning system is limited to a small number of countries. The current location of LNG Omišalj is part of the centralized pipeline of Croatia. By installing the mobile LNG offshore base, it moves from a centralized system to a distributed system where multiple transmission rates, capacity and availability can be multiplied by the number of base units set up in strategic locations. The supply vessel planning problem consists of determining the optimal fleet composition of offshore supply vessels and their corresponding weekly voyages and schedules.
