Section: Logistics and Intralogistics Systems
Abstract:Increasing flexibility requirements in assembly processes require an appropriate design of material supply processes (feeding processes). So far planning processes for feeding considering dynamic production environments have hardly been mentioned in literature. This paper presents an agent-based approach for an adaptive planning and control of feeding processes. The concept refers to transport processes as a subtask of feeding. Transport orders are awarded to cellular transport systems and integrated in a situationally appropriate transportation plan.
